Pack a lunch & join us for an interactive workshop on creating color from plants! This workshop, facilitated by local fiber artist Hannah Goodno of Juniper Lane Fiber Arts, is designed to be an introduction to the process of working with natural dyes for use on natural fibers and fabrics. Using plants and other materials that have been used as dyes for centuries across a multitude of different cultures, we can easily produce beautiful colors ourselves, feel just a little more connected to the fibers we use and wear in our everyday lives, and keep ancient traditions alive. Each participant will leave with two 50-gram hand-dyed skeins of wool yarn!
